About Thad Lawrence ⚡️

Australian born Thad Lawrence started his career at 16 years of age on the set of NZ Film “Utu”, digging long drops on a remote NZ location for his Mum who was the Location Manager. His Father playing the lead. He pretty quickly found Lighting.

Trained in both Australia and New Zealand in the 80’s. Experience in Europe, Asia and extensively through the South Pacific. In the Early 90’s his debut Gaffer role was on Peter Jackson’s “Brain Dead”. Forty years on he has worked as a main unit Gaffer on New Zealand and International Films, Television and TVC's
